JSC "MMMZ" - History in brief
Up one levelAt the beginning of World War Two Nizhnedneprovsk Metal Works and Moscow Steel and Wire Works were evacuated to Magnitogorsk. In April 1942 two new Companies (Steel and Wire Works and Net Works named in honour of Lepse) were established on the base of these two manufacturers. During 1942 they launched wire-, bolt-, spike-, drawing-, weaving, nail-making workshops.
Ten years later a new workshop was established. So the range of products was extended with a new item, bimetal wire. The manufacturer was called "Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works". 1954 witnessed a new and more essential stage of development: the Lepse Works was included into Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works.
Since 1992 the Works is known to be a Joint Stock Company.
In January the Works was awarded for manufacturing high – quality and efficient products. The Company has produced steel and wire items for many years. So the Works does serve its customers with fast services, reasonable prices, good quality products and speedy deliveries. It can face all challenges with its excellent product characteristics. Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works sells its items both on domestic and foreign markets, exporting into more than 20 countries.
