"Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works" received the Certificate of accordance to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000. In solemn atmosphere the top auditor of certification committee V. P. Utkina handed over the Certificate to the director of the Managing Company "MMK-METIZ". It proves that the manufacturer has introduced and applies system of a quality management in the field of research and development, manufacturing and supplying of fasteners; high- and low-carbon, bimetallic and powder wires, metal nets; bimetallic cable; welding electrodes.

The verifying audit that took place at the Works confirmed that the system of a quality management of the factory meets the international standards requirements. This event is the important step in improvement of production quality, which puts metal items produced by "MMK-METIZ" on a higher level.

This position was preceded by 2-year work of all structural divisions of the Works. It was connected with development and introduction of quality management documentation, training of the administrative board, the internal audit, held by a bureau of a quality management, inspection audit, revealing and elimination of all barriers. Nowadays the managers are involving the employees in executing all requirements of the quality management standards as precisely as possible. The director of the Managing Company "MMK-METIZ" Alexey D. Nosov spoke about it while summing up the results of the work. He congratulated them with the Certification and emphasized that one of the main goals was to maintain the decent reputation. The audit board has promised that the annual inspection will control the work of "Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works". In three years at certified audit the Works will have to prove that it still deserves this prestigious Certificate.

On the press conference the executive director of "Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works" Alexander Titov said, that after receiving the Certificate a lot of opportunities opened for the Sales Department of the Works. He also mentioned that in the nearest future they were going to get the ecological Certificate.

Speaking about the results, the top auditor of the firm "Tüf-Uralsert" pointed out that the Works had confirmed its ability to operate with quality. One of the main criteria of it is its ability not only to reveal discrepancies and violations but also to remove and prevent their repeated occurrence.
