On June 23, the Mayor of Magnitogorsk visited the Steel and Wire Works. It was the first time after the Managing Company "MMK-METIZ" was established that Victor G. Anikushin has come to the factory.

The guests were interested in all developments and changes that had recently taken place at the Works and all perspectives of its growth: they visited workshops, got acquainted with the program of modernization: reconstruction of nail-making workshop, installation of a new hot-dip galvanizing wire line in the Steel Wire Workshop. In addition, the guests saw a drawing line for producing of wire, suitable for reinforcement of concrete constructions.

On the meeting with the workers the Director of the Managing Company "MMK-METIZ" reported on activity of the Works, plans for its development and its contribution to the city life.

Then, Victor Anikyshin answered all the questions of the staff. In the end, the head of the city prazed the workers for their achievements and congratulated them with the 75-th anniversary of the city.

From 7th June till 12th June the audit firm "TUF REILAND BERLIN – Bradenburg" checked whether the JSC "Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works" met the requirements of the International Certificate ISO 9001:2000. The positive results of the checking let the Works get the above-mentioned Certification.
